8. I want you to turn to Psalm 133;
请你翻开诗篇133篇;
9. and, as you get that ready, let me tell you a story.
在你们翻圣经的这段时间,我想跟你们讲一个故事。
10. That old story goes something like this:
这个故事是这样的:
11. There was a father
曾经有一位父亲,
12. who had a family of quarrelsome sons.
他家中有一群喜欢吵架的儿子。
13. One day, he called his sons before him;
一天,他把儿子们叫到跟前;
14. then, the father picked out the strongest of his sons.
这位父亲将他们中间最强壮的一个挑出来。
15. He handed him a stick and said to him, “Break the stick.”
递给他一根小木棍并对他说,“掰断它。”
16. The son snapped the stick easily with a gesture of contempt;
这个儿子毫不费力地就将小木棍折断了;
17. then, the father handed him two sticks bound together.
然后,父亲又将两根小木棍捆在一起递给了他。
18. Again, the son broke the two sticks;
这个儿子又把木棍折断了;
19. then, the father gave him a bundle of three sticks, then four, then five.
接着,父亲又将三根,四根,五根小木棍捆在一起递给了他。
20. Finally, when the father handed his son a bundle of six sticks,
最终,当父亲将六根小木棍一起递给他儿子的时候,
21. the boy could not break them and he admitted defeat;
这个孩子掰不断了,只得认输;
22. then, the father looked at his sons and said,
这时候,父亲看着他的儿子们说:
23. “Strength is in unity.
“团结就是力量。
24. A house divided cannot stand.
一个家四分五裂是无法生存的。
25. Anyone can destroy you, one by one,
任何人都可以一一击败你们,
26. but stand together in unity,
但如果能够团结起来,
27. because united strength will frustrate your enemy.”
因着联合的力量,你们就可以击退敌人。”
28. Psalm 133 is all about the unity of the Spirit.
诗篇133篇讲的就是这种圣灵的合一。
29. It is the kind of unity that gives strength.
这种合一给你力量。
30. It is the kind of unity that brings blessings.
这种合一给你带来祝福。
31. It is the kind of unity that sends the enemy fleeing.
这种合一让你的敌人望风而逃。
32. It is the kind of unity that produces peace.
这种合一带来和平。
33. It is the kind of unity that makes the world take notice.
这种合一让整个世界刮目相看。
34. Now, if you have turned to your Bible, Psalm 133, we begin to read with verse 1.
现在,如果你已经翻到了诗篇133篇,让我们从第1节开始,一起来读。
35. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.
“看哪,弟兄和睦同居,是何等的善,何等的美。
36. It is like precious oil poured on the head,
这好比那贵重的油,浇在亚伦的头上,
37. running down on the beard,
流到胡须,
38. running down on Aaron’s beard,
流到亚伦的胡须,
39. down upon the collar of his robes.
又流到他的衣襟。
40. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
又好比黑门的甘露,降在锡安山。
41. For there the Lord bestows his blessings, even life evermore.”
因为在那里有耶和华所命定的福,就是永远的生命。”
42. What is unity of the Spirit?
什么是圣灵的合一呢?
43. Let me first tell you what it is not.
首先我想告诉你,什么不是合一。
44. Unity is not uniformity or conformity.
合一不是要求一模一样,或形式上的划一。
45. Let me explain this.
让我来解释一下。
46. There are some people who think biblical unity occurs when all the churches get united,
有些人认为,只有当所有的教会联合在一起的时候,才会出现圣经上所讲的合一,
47. or, when all the churches come under one organization;
或者当所有的教会都归属于一个组织的时候;
48. but that is not the unity that the Bible talks about.
但这并不是圣经上所讲的合一。
49. A great preacher of many years ago once said,
一位伟大的牧师在多年以前曾说过:
50. “It is better to be divided by the truth than united in error.
“因着真理而分裂,好过因着错误而联合。
51. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and, then, heals,
因为宣讲真理,让人被刺痛,从而得医治,
52. than speak falsehood that comforts, then kills.”
好过只讲谎言,让人舒畅,最后却是谋杀。”
53. It is not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole counsel of God.
如果我们不将神完整的忠告向世人讲明,就谈不上爱和友谊。
54. It is better to be hated for the telling the truth,
宣讲真理,即使被人恨恶,
55. than to be loved for telling a lie.
也好过撒谎去讨人喜爱。
56. When we examine God’s Word carefully,
如果我们细心地查考神的话语,
57. it is impossible to find a biblical hero who did not have enemies and was not hated.
圣经中的英雄,没有一个是没有敌人和不曾被人恨恶的。
58. It is better to stand alone with the truth,
孤单地坚守真理,
59. than to be wrong with a multitude.
也好过与众人同流合污。
60. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth,
讲真话虽然直到最终才获成功,
61. than to have temporary success with a lie;
也好过说谎取得一时的成功;
62. so, biblical unity is not unity at any price.
因此,圣经里的合一,不是随随便便的合一。
63. Biblical unity is not unity of compromise of one’s conviction.
圣经里的合一,不是被某一个人说服而妥协的合一。
64. Biblical unity is not unity with anyone, anywhere.
圣经里的合一,不是随意与某人在某地的合一。
65. The Prophet Amos asked,
先知阿摩司曾问道:
66. “Can two walk together unless they agree?”
“二人若不同心,岂能同行呢?”
67. In order for believers to walk together,
信徒们要想同行,
68. they must understand the meaning of biblical unity.
他们就必须明白圣经里合一的含义。
69. Christian unity is unity of purpose and direction.
基督徒的合一是方向和目标的合一。
70. Christian unity is a unity of total agreement on the truth.
基督徒的合一是在真理上完全认同的合一。
71. Christian unity is unity of common commitment to the truth.
基督徒的合一是对真理共同委身的合一。
72. I want you to look at verse 1 of Psalm 133.
请你翻到诗篇133篇第1节:
73. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”
“看哪,弟兄和睦同居,是何等的善,何等的美。”
74. Therefore, there is no reason for me to be in unity with someone who does not believe in biblical truth.
因此,我没有任何理由,去与那些不相信圣经真理的人合一。
75. I cannot be in unity with someone who does not believe in the virgin birth,
我也不会与那些不相信耶稣从童贞女而生的人合一,
76. or, the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
或者与那些,不相信耶稣基督身体复活的人合一。
77. I cannot be in unity with someone who denies the divinity of Christ,
我也不会与那些不相信耶稣基督是神的人合一,
78. or, someone who does not believe that Jesus is the only Way to Heaven.
更不会与不相信耶稣是上天堂的唯一道路的人合一。
79. That is not the biblical unity that the psalmist is talking about.
这不是诗篇作者所讲的,合乎圣经真理的合一。
80. Look at the word “brethren” in verse 1.
我们来看第1节中“弟兄”这个词,
81. “Brethren” indicates those who have a common spiritual ancestry.
“弟兄”是指那些在属灵上有着共同渊源的人。
82. “Brethren” means that they are of the same mindset.
“弟兄”意味着他们有着相同的意念。
83. Brethren are those who hold the same convictions.
“弟兄”是指那些持守相同信念的人。
84. As a young man, I used to watch women knitting wool.
年轻的时候,我曾经观察妇女们织毛衣。
85. I often heard them say something that stuck in my mind.
我常常听到她们谈论一些话,留给我很深的印象。
86. They used to say that you should never knit wool and cotton together,
她们常说,千万不要把毛线和棉线织在一起,
87. because it ruins the garment.
因为这样会毁掉这件衣服。
88. You can only knit together things that are of the same nature.
你只能将相同质地的线编织在一起。
89. Husbands and wives are to be joined in unity.
丈夫与妻子要合而为一。
90. Members of the one body are to be united.
身体上的各个部分要合而为一。
91. True believers in Christ, who are brothers and sisters of Jesus, must be united.
真正相信基督的人,在基督里的弟兄姐妹要合而为一。
92. There are two things that the psalmist tells us about this biblical unity.
诗篇作者告诉我们,圣经里的合一有两个特质:
93. First,
第一,
94. it is beautiful.
它是美善的。
95. Second,
第二,
96. it is blessed.
它是蒙福的。
97. Unity of the spirit is always beautiful;
灵里的合一总是美好的。
98. but the one thing that Satan hates to see
但有一件事情,是撒但最不想见到的,
99. is a Christian home operating in unity.
那就是一个基督徒的家庭和谐地生活。

1. The one thing Satan dreads to see
有一件事是撒但最害怕见到的,
2. is a husband and a wife praying in unity;
那就是丈夫与妻子在一起同心地祷告;
3. and the one thing that Satan will try hardest to destroy is a church united in purpose and goal.
撒但极力要破坏的一件事,就是教会在目标上的统一。
4. Why is that?
为什么呢?
5. Because Satan hates whatever looks beautiful to God.
因为撒但憎恨一切神看为美的事情。
6. Someone called the unity of the spirit a rare and exotic plant,
有些人称灵里的合一,就好像一种罕见的奇花异草,
7. but unity should be common in the Christian home.
但合一应该成为基督徒家里的普遍现象。
8. Unity should be common in the Christian church.
合一应该成为基督教会中的普遍现象。
9. When God created Adam and Eve,
当神创造亚当和夏娃的时候,
10. He not only designed them to be in unity with each other,
祂不仅设计好,让他们之间彼此合一,
11. He, also, designed them to be in unity with Him;
神还设计好,让他们与神合一;
12. but, when Satan and sin came into their lives, their unity disintegrated.
可是,当撒但与罪进入到他们的生命中,他们的合一被瓦解了。
13. God said that it was not good for Adam to be alone;
神说,亚当一人独居不好;
14. so, He gave him Eve,
所以,神赐给他夏娃,
15. not so that they could fight with each other,
不是为了让他们彼此争斗,
16. not so that they may frustrate each other,
不是为了让他们使彼此丧气,
17. not so that they may irritate each other,
更不是为了让他们彼此激怒对方,
18. but that they may complete each other.
而是为了让他们相互补充。
19. Legend has it that, after Adam was with Eve for a little while,
传说中,亚当与夏娃共处了一段时间后,
20. he went to God and said to Him,
亚当找到神说:
21. “Lord, why did You make the woman such a beautiful creature?”
“主啊,你为什么要把女人造得如此美丽呢?”
22. God said,
神说:
23. “So that you may love her.”
“是为了让你可以爱她。”
24. Then, Adam asked,
亚当又问到:
25. “Lord, why did you make us so dumb?”
“主啊,你为什么又把我们造得这么愚笨呢?”
26. God answered,
神回答说:
27. “So that she can love you.”
“那是为了让她能爱你。”
28. Now, remember, this was just a legend.
不过请记住,这只是一个传说。
29. Humanity’s first sin
人类的第一次犯罪,
30. resulted in separation from God.
导致了与神的隔离。
31. Humanity’s second sin,
人类的第二次犯罪,
32. when Cain killed Abel,
是该隐杀了亚伯,
33. resulted in the separation from each other;
导致了人与人彼此之间的隔离;
34. and that is why only God the Holy Spirit can truly unite people together.
这就是为什么只有圣灵,才能真正地使人们合一。
35. No person can organize the unity of the Spirit.
没有人能够促成灵里的合一。
36. Organizations and institutional churches cannot create unity.
机构与有组织的教会不能创造合一。
37. Only God unites people together;
只有神才能使人们合一;
38. and that can only happen when they come under God’s authority,
这只有当人们降服在神的主权之下的时候,才能成就,
39. when they come under the authority of His Word.
只有当人们降服于神话语的权柄之下的时候,才能实现。
40. What makes unity beautiful is that it comes from God.
这种合一是来自于神的,因此才格外美好。
41. It is a gift of God through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
它是神通过圣灵的内住,赐下的礼物。
42. You may be a person who is experiencing turmoil and strife.
你也许正经历着混乱和纷争,
43. You may be a person who is living in constant temptation.
你也许正生活在不断的试探当中,
44. You may be a person who does not have peace right now.
你也许就在此时,心里没有平安。
45. Today, you can come under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ,
今天,你可以降服在主耶稣基督的主权之下,
46. for only He alone can give you peace.
因为只有祂才能赐给你平安。
47. He alone can give you joy,
只有祂才能赐给你喜乐,
48. for only He alone can bring unity to your home.
因为只有祂才能给你家中带来合一。
49. He alone can bring unity to your church.
只有祂才能给你的教会带来合一。
50. Will you come to Him today?
