5. It is the second in that series of messages on joy.

6. In our last broadcast, we ended with these words by the Apostle Paul:

7. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say again: Rejoice!”

8. We told you that we would talk about what Paul is really saying in this passage.

9. What is he saying?
他说的有什么涵义?

10. He is saying that your real joy does not come from favorable economic conditions.
他的意思是,真正的喜乐,并非来自优越的经济条件。

11. Your real joy does not come from your being accepted by society.
你真正的喜乐,也不是因为社会接纳了你。

12. Your real joy does not come from having significance in the eyes of the world.
真正的喜乐,不是来自于你在世人眼中有多么显赫的地位。

13. Your real joy does not come from what your job is,
真正的喜乐,也不来自于你所从事的工作,

14. or where you live,
或者你住的地方,

15. or what image you project.
甚至你所表现出来的形象。

16. Your real joy does not come from being in the right social circles,
你真正的喜乐,也不是来自于你的社交圈子,

17. or living in the right neighborhood.
或者你所居住的高级住宅区。

18. Your real joy comes from the knowledge that you are saved and redeemed through the death and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
能有真正的喜乐,是因为你明白,借着主耶稣的死和复活,你的罪得以赦免,且重生得救了。

19. Your real joy comes from the knowledge that you are an heir with Christ.
你真正的喜乐,来自于你知道自己已经成为神的儿女。

20. Your real joy comes from the knowledge that your name is written in His Book of Life,
你有真正的喜乐,因为你的名字已经记在生命册上了,

21. and that you are an inheritor of the estate of God.
并且你是天国产业的继承人。

22. That is what he’s saying where joy comes from.
这就是保罗所说的喜乐的来源。

23. Our world is trying to tell us that joy is found in things.
这个世界试图误导我们说,喜乐来自于物质。

24. Our world is trying to tell us that joy is found in owning more buildings.
世界告诉我们,喜乐来自于拥有更多房产,

25. Our world is trying to tell us that our happiness comes from drinking alcohol,

26. or watching more television.

27. What kind of happiness is this?

28. That is how confused the world is.

29. Things will not make you happy.

30. Please listen carefully.

31. Christian joy is not the absence of sadness.
基督徒的喜乐,不表示没有忧伤的时候。

32. I can testify to you that sometimes in the lowest moments of my life, I experience the joy of the Lord in a far greater way than any other time.
我可以向你做见证,在我生命中最低谷的时刻,却经历到主所赐的喜乐,远超过任何其他时刻。

33. Christian joy is not the absence of adversity or trials in life.
基督徒的喜乐也不表示生命中没有不幸和考验。

34. When Paul was writing about joy to the Philippians, he was not on the beach enjoying the sunshine, but he was in a prison.
保罗在写信给腓立比教会谈及喜乐时,他不是在海边享受阳光,而是在监狱里。

35. He was writing about joy when he was in chains and in a dungeon.
当他谈论到喜乐时,正戴着锁链,被关在地牢里。

36. Joy is precisely the very element that helps me to see beyond my circumstances.
恰恰就是喜乐,才促使我有超越现实环境的眼光。

37. Joy is precisely the very element that lifts my eyes up to God;
恰恰就是喜乐,才促使我可以仰望神;

38. the God Who is above and beyond and greater than my circumstances.
那位高高在上,全能伟大的神,祂远远胜过我们的环境。

39. In fact, joy is like love, which we’ve looked at before.
实际上,喜乐就像我们已经讲过的仁爱。

40. It can only be manifested and exhibited precisely at the tough times of life.
它只会在我们生活中最艰难的时刻才能真正表现出来。

41. Joy, like love, can only shine in the darkest moment of testing and trial.
喜乐,也如同仁爱一样,只会在我们遭受试探,最黑暗时刻,才会发出亮光。

42. Joy, like love, can be observed in times of stress and strains.
喜乐,也如同仁爱一样,只有在我们充满压力时,才会被人看见。

43. As we saw in the last message on love, the deepest joy comes from grace --
正如我们在前面讲过有关仁爱的信息,最深的喜乐从恩典而来。

44. the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ -- grace, amazing grace, marvelous grace.
就是主耶稣基督所赐的恩,奇异的恩典,美妙的恩典。

45. Knowing that, by myself, I deserve nothing but the judgment of God;
明白靠我们自己,我们什么也不配,只有接受神的审判;

46. and, yet, God, through His grace and favor, He loved me and redeemed me.
然而,神却通过祂无尽的仁慈和恩典来爱我们,拯救我们。

47. He put me on the footpath to Heaven, and, then, he has put me in the hollow of His hands;
他将我们带上天路,又把我们捧在祂手掌心里;

48. and that gives me all the joy that I need.
这便给了我所需要的一切喜乐。

49. Listen to what Paul said about grace,
关于恩典,请听保罗怎么说,

50. in Romans, Chapter 8, verses 38 and 39:
罗马书第8章38 和39 节那里,他说,

51. “Nothing is going to separate me from the grace and the love of God, nothing.”
“无论什么都不能叫我们与神的爱隔绝,无论什么。”

52. Whether I am employed or unemployed, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论失业或就业,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

53. Whether I am rich or poor, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论贫穷或富有,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

54. Whether I am accepted by others, or rejected by them, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论别人接受我或拒绝我,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

55. Whether I am spoken well of, or ill of, by others, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论别人称赞我,或中伤我,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

56. Whether I am criticized or praised, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论我被批评还是被表扬,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

57. Whether I am affirmed or ignored, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
无论我被认定还是被忽视,都不能叫我与神的爱隔绝。

58. Whether I stand alone, or stand with thousands of others, nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
也无论我孤身一人,还是与众人同行,都没有任何东西能将我与神的爱隔绝。

59. It will make no difference to my joy, because nothing shall separate me from the love of God.
这些都不会影响我的喜乐,因为没有什么能让我和神的爱隔绝。

60. Listen to me, my listening friends.
亲爱的朋友,请听我说。

61. I have been reflecting upon this for a long time,
我对这个问题已经思考了很久,

62. because I can look at things happening around the world, and I can see things; and, when I see sin is rampant, I can easily get discouraged;
因为在这个世界上发生的很多事情,我可以仔细观察,当看到罪恶的猖獗时,我应该很容易就沮丧的。

63. but I don’t,
但我没有,

64. because I have the joy of the Lord;
因为我有从主而来的喜乐;

65. but I have been thinking about this for quite some time now, and not just this week, but for quite some time,

66. and I came to this conclusion:

67. do you know what really eludes most people about the joy of the Lord?
你知道是什么原因,使得大多数人对于主所赐的喜乐感到困扰吗?

68. They feel they don’t have a handle on the future.
因为他们感觉自己对将来没有把握。

69. Believe it or not, that holds true among all people,
不论你相不相信,大多数人都是这样,

70. Christians or non-Christians,
基督徒也好,非基督徒也好,

71. believers or non-believers.
信徒也好,非信徒也好,

72. What eludes most people from getting that lasting joy is that they cannot get control of the future.
大多数人无法获得这份持续不断的喜乐,就是因为他们深感无法掌握未来。

73. The reason the psychics and the fortune-tellers are growing in great numbers around the world
这也是目前,在全世界各地,算命卜卦越来越盛行的原因,

74. is because people want to have a grasp of their future.
就是因为人们都想把握住他们的将来。

75. They really do.
他们的确很想。

76. The reason millions of people are going to fortunetellers and channelers who contact the dead is because they want to be sure about their future.
数百万人拜访求助于算命先生和灵媒仲介,就是因为他们想对自己的将来有把握。

77. Some people may say, “Well, those fortunetellers tell me things about myself that are really true.”
有人说,“算命先生说出我自己的一些事情,真的很灵。”

78. The devil knows what’s going on.
魔鬼知道这些现象。

79. These people are literally following demons.
而这些人就是在跟随魔鬼。

80. They want to get a grasp of the future.
他们想把握自己的将来。

81. They ask the cup-readers to tell them how to live.
他们通过算命来指点自己怎样生活。

82. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you need only to know one thing about the future.
如果你是主耶稣基督的信徒,你只需要知道一件有关将来的事情。

83. When you die, you will go straight to Heaven.
你死的时候,会直接进入天堂。

84. The Scripture says that absence from the body is presence with the Lord.
圣经说,离开身体,就与主同住。

85. You don’t have to ask anybody else about that.
你不用问任何其他人。

86. Listen to what the Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:6, and 8.
请听哥林多后书5章6节和8节。
(请读林后5章6-8节)

87. People want to understand the future.
人们想知道未来如何。

88. When I thought this, I said, “Wait a minute...
当我想到这里,我说,“等一下。”

89. but I already know the future.
我已经知道未来了。

90. I know Who holds the future,
我知道谁掌管将来,

91. and the One Who holds the future, holds me and everything else in His hand;
这位掌管未来的神,将我和其他每样东西都放在祂自己的手掌中;

92. and He told me that everything is all right.
祂告诉我,一切都会很好。

93. He has it all under control and He is taking care of it;
一切都在他管控之下,祂也精心看顾。

94. and, when I close my eyes in death, I’m going to be in His presence in Heaven.”
当我离开这个人世,会直接进入天堂与主同在。

95. There is nothing else I want to know.
其他没有什么我想知道的了。

96. That is the secret of the joy of the Lord,
这就是主带给我们喜乐的秘诀,

97. the permanent joy;
永远的喜乐;

98. and that is why I have the joy of the Lord.
这也就是我为什么有主的喜乐。

99. Today, people are running breathlessly trying to catch it;
今天,人们气急败坏地四处奔跑,想要得到它;

100. but happiness is like a bar of wet soap.
但是,快乐就像一块滑溜溜的湿肥皂。

101. Everytime you try to take hold of it, it jumps ahead of you;
每次你试图抓住它的时候,它就滑到你前面去;

102. but not joy.
但喜乐不是如此。

103. Why do you pursue happiness, which is temporary, when you can have joy, which is permanent?
为什么在可以获得永恒的喜乐时,你偏要去追求短暂的快乐呢?

104. Some believers have lost their joy, and, then, confuse it with happiness.
一些基督徒失去了他们的喜乐,又被短暂的快乐所迷惑。

105. Some of you may have lost your joy and you are trying to find it in all the wrong places.
你们中的一些人可能已经失去了喜乐,却在错误的地方不断地寻找。

106. Let me tell you a story that will help you focus on where and how you get your joy restored.
让我告诉你一个故事,帮助你明白,应该在哪里并如何重获喜乐。

107. Years ago, a little boy was given a priceless possession — his father’s gold pocket watch.
数年前,一个小男孩得到了一个无价之宝,就是他爸爸的金怀表。

108. Oh, how he treasured it!
哦,他是多么地珍爱它啊!

109. He held it close in his hand.
他紧紧地将表握在手中。

110. He would take it out, and he would look at it, and, then, he would return it tenderly in his pocket.
他不时地拿出来看看,然后,又轻轻地放回到口袋里。

111. How he loved that watch;
他太爱那怀表了;

112. but, one day, while playing in his father’s ice manufacturing plant,
但有一天,当他在父亲的制冰厂里玩的时候,

113. he lost the watch in the middle of the ice.
他不小心把表丢在冰里。

114. In the midst of the sawdust, he cried and cried.
他坐在木屑中大声地哭喊。

115. He searched and searched and he searched, until he became so frantic and panicky, and, finally, he had a thought.

116. His hands were getting much too cold.

117. He finally stopped scurrying and thought.

118. He stopped searching around, and he became very still.

119. In the silence, he heard the watch ticking,
在寂静中,他听到了表针走动的声音,

120. and he found it.
他找到它了!

121. The joy of the Lord is one of the greatest gifts of salvation.
从主而来的喜乐,是救恩中最大的礼物之一。

122. The joy of the Lord is one of the great fruit of the Spirit-filled life;
喜乐也是被圣灵充满的生命所结出的最重要的一种果子;

123. but, in the midst of the scurrying around, we lose it;
但是在我们忙得团团转时,我们反而失去了它;

124. and the more we become frantic about getting joy, and the trappings of joy, the worse we become.
而且,当我们为了要得到喜乐和喜乐的外在表现而慌乱时,我们的光景就越来越糟糕。

125. We start scurrying faster and start looking for happiness instead, and we start getting frazzled looking for it.
我们开始急急忙忙地去寻找快乐来代替,结果变得疲惫不堪。

126. The more we scurry, the more we get frantic, and the more it gets away from us.
越急于寻找,我们就越慌乱,喜乐就越远离我们。

127. Take a moment and be silent before God.
花一点时间,让我们在神面前安静下来。

128. Take time to daily worship the Lord.
花时间每天敬拜神。

129. You don’t have to ask God for anything.
你不用向神祈求任何事情,

130. Just be there alone listening.
只要在那里独自聆听。

131. Take time to daily be filled with the Spirit of God.
花时间每天让圣灵充满。

132. You won’t have to look for joy.
你不用去寻找喜乐。

133. The joy of the Lord is going to find you.
主的喜乐自然会来找到你。

134. With this joy comes another fruit of the Spirit — peace.
伴随喜乐一同来的,是圣灵的另一种果子,就是和平。

135. We shall begin looking at what peace really means in the next broadcast.
我们将在下次节目里仔细看看,”和平”究竟是什么意思。

136. Some of you might be listening for the first time.
你们当中可能有一些人,是第一次听我们这个节目。

137. Some of you may never have invited the Lord Jesus to come into your life.
可能有些人从来没有邀请主耶稣进入你的生命。

138. You have been looking for joy and fulfillment in life, and you can’t find it.
你可能一直在寻找喜乐而充实的生命,但还没有找到。

139. Today, you can come to God and ask for His forgiveness.
今天,你可以来到神面前,恳求祂的宽恕。

140. Today, you can say, “Lord Jesus, You died on the cross to pay the penalty of my sin.
你可以说,“主耶稣,您为我的罪死在十字架上,承担了我的刑罚。

141. I receive You into my life.
我愿意接受您进入我的生命。

142. Accept me in Your Kingdom.”
请接受我到您的国度。”

143. If you have prayed this prayer, you can be sure that God has already answered your prayer.
如果你这样祷告了,可以肯定,神已经答应了你的祈求。

144. Write and tell us that you have become a follower of Jesus Christ.
请写信来告诉我们,你已经成为主耶稣基督的信徒了。
